Your original unit was produced between 2008-2012.
The HTD model's outer casing and shell have been completely redesigned since 2013.
Yes, the fins/coils on front and back are more exposed now to allow more air to flow through them.
You can still mount the cooling unit with your existing brackets yet with new design, the brackets now slip under the top lip.

The new front return grill is missing the slots for the brackets to slide through, we will need to get a corrected one shipped to you.
The new rear exhaust grill does not mount directly onto unit's backside. It is meant to mount onto the exterior wall of your cabinet.

COILS AND FINS WERE LESS EXPOSED WITH OLDER CASING THAT HAD FLANGES BUILT INTO THE TOP CASIING. EVEN IF NEW HTD UNIT SHIP MISSING THE FRONT PANEL OR PANEL IS MISSING THE SLITS FOR BRACKETS, CUSTOMER CAN STILL MOUNT AND INSTALL NEW UNITS
