Per our engineering team, they have stated that the led indicator remaining dimly lit after heating function disengages is simply a byproduct of faradic electricity (low residual, receding current). They are stating that it is not a cause for concern on unit’s functionality.
We recently had our factory test 2 units with all the temperature settings and found the average temperature for 300ºF will be higher than 60-70ºF(The maximum temperature).
When set to 350*F, it will be about 30*F higher, and for setting above 350ºF, the average temperature will be very close to the set temperature, which is less than 20*F.
According to factory engineer, the temperature tolerance is 20ºC (68ºF).
Factory didn’t change anything for the past decade.
Factory said the temperature tolerance was accepted by Legacy /Avanti engineers in the beginning of product development.
The fire for the low temperature setting will be higher to avoid the fire extinguish when closing the door. It’s very important.
