WINEMATE - WATER LEAK - INSTALLING DRAIN HOSE ON 3500-8500HZD UNITS

Should customer report that their Winemate cooling system is leaking water:

If unit will be installed and operate in a humid environment and the unit's intake is going to be exposed to the external elements, (or if the ventilation is insufficient and restricted) using the optional drain plug would be suggested to alleviate any excess condensate overflow.

If unit is to be installed with the hot exhaust air venting into an open, ventilated space that is indoors (hallway, room, bathroom, etc..) then the optional drain plug likely does not need to be used to alleviate any overflow since it is fresh ambient air.

Drain hose does not need to be pulled out, separate drain hose needs to slide over factory drain stud to funnel out the condensate. Installing Drain Line WM-3500~8500HZD units are equipped with an additional drain fitting.
In case of extreme humidity there is a drain line needed, remove the drain plug on the bottom left at the rear, then remove the connection plug and fit a 0.375” OD drain tube into the drain connection. Install the cooling unit with the front higher than the rear.
