Answer: No, the Scoops and Spades are not NSF Approved
2. Question: What is the point of the Anodized Hardcoat?
Answer: the hard coat anodized is pretty much for Commercial, as the end user leaves their scoops in the dipper well and if you have hardwater or over chlorinated water, the scoops tend to oxidize/tarnish and the anodized will help prevent this from happening. The scoops still need to be removed from dipper well and washed by hand on a daily basis.
3. Question: I placed My Original Ice Cream Scoop #1020 in the dishwasher and now it has a discoloration/ film on it, please advise:
Answer: Model #1020 Aluminum Scoop is not dishwasher safe, the product In the Dishwasher may cause your aluminum scoop to Tarnish/Oxidize . In the event this happens you may use a Non-Scratch sponge and mild liquid dish soap and scrub the scooper to remove the buildup film, please note the shiny finish will not reappear on the scoop.
